Condolence & Memory Journal

From the moment I received the news in our newsletter for Mito patients that Maggie had passed, I put the word out to my church and all my friends on Facebook to pray for you all who lost such a sweet girl. I am a Mito patient myself.

Maggie's struggle has inspired me to write a song for her memory. I will be recording it in the coming weeks and will be forwarding it on the the UMDF and would also like to send you all a copy of it as well. As a father of two I can't begin to imagine your loss. you are still in my prayers.

Sean and Michelle and all of Maggie's extended family,

I so sincerely wish there were words we could say that will make it better, make it all go away. We are so sorry for Maggie's passing and all that she and you have endured over the past years. You have been in our prayers, hearts, and thoughts for so long. With Maggie's passing, that will not end. I wish you weren't so far away. But, please remember that even though there is distance, we are always here thinking about all of you and Maggie, more than you realize.

Lots of love, Brienn, Ron, Eily, and Cailyn

Death of a Child
Please accept my sincere condolences. The loss of a child has to be the most devastating thing there is.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of grief. At times like these, "God is near to those who are broken at heart;
and those crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34:18) Death is an enemy, as the Bible states, and soon it will be brought to nothing (1 Cor. 15:26) There will be no more tears, pain, or sorrow, as the former things will be passed away-Rev. 21:3,4
I hope this will bring you a measure of comfort. May your warm memories and sure scriptural hope sustain you at this difficult time.

I cannot begin to find the words to comfort you and I hope just being there is enough as that is all I can do. I cannot even come close to understanding what you are going through and will not pretend to, but know that I am here for all of you whatever you need. Maggie was such a special little person that touched so many myself and my family included. We all love you so much and I pray for peace, comfort and healing for your family in this greatest time of need. I love you always, Alicia

Matthew 18:1-5 (KJV)
1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

Dear Sean and Michelle,

You do not know me, but I found your blog and have been reading. I am so sorry for the loss of Maggie. I lost my daugher to Leighs disease, another devastating mitochondrial disease, on January 16, 2011. She would have turned 2 in Feb. I know there are no words that will ease your pain, but do know that I am praying for your family to have the strength to get through this. Please feel free to e-mail me if you ever wish to talk to someone who truly understands the pain you are dealing with.

Sincerely,
Belinda (belindaag@yahoo,com)
